Accommodations

Lyons Kennels offers boarding for all breeds of dogs and cats. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have convenient drop-off and pick-up times:

8am to 7pm Monday through Saturday
Noon to 6pm on Sundays.

Reservations

Reservations are requested. We recommend that you book early for holidays and Spring Break because those are our busiest times of the year. Boarding is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If an emergency or sudden business trip comes up, please contact us. We will do our utmost to accommodate your pet's boarding needs.

Required Vaccinations

All animals boarded must be up-to-date on shots - rabies, distemper and bordatella shots for dogs; and rabies, distemper and feline leukemia shots for cats. Please bring proof from your vet.

Cost

The boarding rate is $40 per day per dog, food included, and $76 per day for 2 dogs together in 1 kennel. For boarding cats, please call for pricing.

A Safe and Comfortable Environment For Your Pet

At Lyons Kennels, while you are away, your pet will be cared for by an experienced staff in a safe, clean and comfortable environment. Unlike other kennels, someone at Lyons Kennels is always on site, so your pet is never left alone. We check on each animal in our care several times per day, including late each evening.

All the kennels are heated, so your pet will be kept warm even on the coldest winter days. Solid construction and good air flow ensure that the kennels are also comfortable during the heat of summer.

The dog kennels are indoor/outdoor combination kennels. The outdoor runs are generously sized so that even large dogs have plenty of room to move around and exercise.

Boarding includes food. If your pet has special dietary needs, we can accommodate those needs. We can also administer many pet medications.

Emergency Care

Lyons Kennels is across the street from a veterinary hospital (Straley Veterinary Associates). In case of emergency your pet can receive prompt care.
